Specialist Private Tuition
for children with dyslexia or other barriers to literacy
How private tuition can help.
Private tuition gives your child the focused, one-to-one support they need to overcome reading and writing challenges. In a busy classroom, children often struggle to get the attention they need — schools are noisy, lessons move quickly, and teachers may not have time to provide the structured, multi-sensory teaching that children with dyslexia require.
With private tuition, your child can learn at their own pace, receive step-by-step guidance, and build skills, confidence, and independence. Plus, I work with families to give you practical strategies to support learning at home, so progress continues beyond the lesson.
How it Works
Before you start
Private tuition works best when it is tailored to your child’s unique strengths and challenges. If your child has a formal diagnosis, I can use their report to guide lessons. If not, I carry out informal assessments through fun, engaging activities to understand their phonics, reading, spelling, memory, and overall learning profile. This helps me create lessons that truly meet your child’s needs.

“The programme solved so much for her. After years of struggling with spelling and feeling ashamed that she couldn’t retain them in a classroom setting, a whole new world has opened up for her.“
